National Bowling StadiumNational Bowling Stadium

?In 1995, the National Bowling Stadium opened, considered the "Taj Mahal of tenpins"; it is the only facility of its kind in the world, with 78 lanes, and took three years to build at $47.5 million. The National Bowling Stadium went through a major renovation in preparation for the 2020 US Bowling Congress Open Championships, supporting the saying, "All lanes lead to Reno."
?
It has also been utilized as a filming location for several feature films. In the 1996 comedy Kingpin, the National Bowling Stadium was used for the final face-off between Bill Murray and Woody Harrelson’s characters.

The stadium was also used in the Michael J. Fox film Greedy, and Billy Crystal and the late Robin Williams also bowled at the stadium while in Reno filming the comedy, Fathers’ Day.
